The School of Education organised an enriching alumni talk on the topic “Educational Content Creation Tools for Teachers”. The resource person for the session was Ms. Priya Garg, TGT Science Teacher, D.A.V. Police Public School, Nuh, Haryana, and a proud Alumna of the School of Education. In her interactive session, Ms. Garg introduced and demonstrated various digital tools that can support teachers in creating engaging educational content. She discussed the use of Napkin, a collaborative visual tool; online educational games to enhance student participation; and the Bright Class educational app, which offers multiple features to make teaching more effective and interactive. Her talk emphasised the role of educational technology in transforming traditional classrooms into dynamic learning environments.The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Prof. (Dr.) P.C. Jena, who appreciated the speaker’s valuable insights and acknowledged the contributions of the organizing team. The talk was well-received by students and faculty alike, making it a memorable and informative event that highlighted the importance of digital innovation in education.

School of Education continued its commitment to community development with the launch of its Extension and Outreach Programme. Focused on “Enhancing Proficiency in Reading with Understanding & Numeracy,” this initiative was held at Government Girls Primary School, Ghamroj, Gurugram. The students participated with enthusiasm and dedicated their time to improve the numeracy skills of School Children.Innovative teaching tools and charts were employed by students to make learning engaging and effective for the primary school children. The event’s success was evident in the enhanced skills and enthusiasm displayed by these young learners.

Under the Extension and Outreach Programme organized from January- May 2024, the faculty and student-teachers of School of Education, K.R Mangalam University worked tirelessly to empower government school teachers to use modern Educational Technology to improve their teaching and assessment. The efforts were made to establish the value of continuous learning and collaboration among the community.
The extension and outreach programme were organised in a phase-wise manner. In the first phase, the teachers’ needs assessment was done through a baseline survey. In the second phase, based on the responses of teachers to the survey, a Pre-test was conducted to understand the level of assistance required by them. Based on the results, tailor-made training sessions were organised. These sessions covered tools like MS Office Suite, Canva, and Google Forms, helping teachers create engaging lessons and efficient assessments. More than 20 government school teachers from various villages in Sohna, Gurugram were part of the study. Recommendations for prospects include regular needs assessment of the community; assurances of infrastructural needs; the arrangement of expert sessions; and support for large-scale study to better prepare the teachers to serve the contemporary needs of education and learners.

School of Education, organised a farewell party “AU REVIOUR” at the Dance room where students of B.Ed. and B.El.Ed. Junior Batches bid farewell to the outgoing students of B.Ed. and B.El.Ed. final year with great enthusiasm. The function began with the Tilak Ceremony for faculty members and final-year batches. Some exciting games, like the balloon game and team unity, were also arranged for the students and were enjoyed by all. Many students gave dance performances, singing songs and mimicked their favourite faculty member. The main attraction was Ramp Walk, Talent around where students performed really well on the ramp.

The School of Education (SOED) K R Mangalam University organized a field visit at the Save Aravali Trust Nursery. The purpose of the excursion was to inform students about the value of protecting the Aravali range, plantations, and waste water harvesting. Ms. Meenakshi emphasized the trust’s mission to protect and revitalize the Aravali hills, which are crucial to the environment. Discussions were held regarding issues such the historical degradation of the Aravali range and agricultural failure brought on by climate change. Notwithstanding difficulties, the trust is nonetheless upbeat. In addition to being a center for teaching, the nursery distributes native plant species and works as a nexus for their proliferation.

The School of Education and Lotus Petal Charitable Foundation (LPCF) formalized their collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration is expected to enhance students’ employability and professional growth, marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of students.

A momentous occasion unfolded as the School of Education,KRMU and the Sociwind Foundation came together to formalize a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of esteemed dignitaries. The MoU signing ceremony was graced by Prof. Chandra Shekhar Dubey,Vice-Chancellor,KRMU, alongside Gp. Capt. P. Mahajan, the Registrar, Prof. Varuna Tyagi, Dean of Academic Affairs, Prof. Tania Gupta, Dean SOED.
This partnership is driven by the shared vision of harnessing their unique strengths and expertise for the betterment of society and education. Together, they commit to synergizing their resources, knowledge, and capabilities to tackle pressing societal challenges, ultimately striving for a more inclusive and sustainable future. Their joint impact will extend across key domains, including education, environmental conservation, healthcare advocacy, community development, and skill enhancement.

School of Education, K. R. Mangalam University and Save Aravali Trust signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of esteemed dignitaries. MOU marks a significant collaboration in the pursuit of environmental conservation, education and community engagement. They commit to work together on environmental conservation initiatives within the Aravali region, focusing on biodiversity, preservation and resource management. The University will support research projects related to the Aravali ecosystem, providing faculty expertise and access to students. The sharing of information will help in preservation of biodiversity.

The School of Education, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organised an insightful Orientation Programme on “Quality and Academic Integrity in Higher Education”. The programme aimed to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining quality and integrity in academic practices. The event was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Mehraj-ud-Din Mir, Chair Professor, Moti Lal Chair, KRMU, who delivered a powerful lecture rooted in his vast academic and research experience. His address highlighted key concerns related to ethical conduct, accreditation, and institutional excellence. The programme saw enthusiastic participation from faculty members and student-teachers. An interactive Q&A session followed the lecture, allowing attendees to reflect on and discuss key insights.

School of Education in collaboration with the Sociwind Foundation, proudly announces the successful completion of a groundbreaking research project exploring social participation and community integration for people with disabilities in India. This initiative aimed to identify and bridge gaps hindering the full inclusion of differently-abled individuals in society. By addressing critical issues like accessibility, stigma, and policy inadequacies, the project highlights the urgent need for systemic change. Through comprehensive training, immersive fieldwork, and reflective post-visit activities, student-teachers not only gathered valuable data but also experienced profound personal and professional growth. They developed enhanced communication skills, a deeper understanding of inclusivity, and a heightened sensitivity towards the needs of individuals with disabilities. This project underscores the vital role of education in fostering empathy and advocacy, preparing future educators to champion the rights and well-being of all individuals, and paving the way for a more inclusive and compassionate society.

The School of Education in collaboration with the Career Development Centre (CDC), organised a Transformative Capacity Development Training Program “Harnessing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Education.” The program aimed to explore the potential of AI and ML in reshaping educational practices and enhancing learning outcomes. The event attracted faculty of Education and students eager to leverage AI and ML for educational advancements. Participants left with actionable insights on how to integrate these cutting-edge technologies into their teaching methodologies and institutional strategies, marking a significant step forward in the digital transformation of education.

School of Education in collaboration with KEIC organized a workshop on Idea Forge: Navigating Problem Solving & Ideation. Students got benefitted greatly and learned innovative problem-solving techniques. The event marked a significant milestone in fostering a culture of ingenuity and collaboration.

The School of Education organised a workshop on- Boosting Immunity: simple daily habits for a healthier life. Prof. (Dr.) Harish Tyagi, Head Faculty of Education, Head -Amity Institute of Behavioural and Allied Sciences and Amity School of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida was the resource person for the event. The objective of the event was to educate participants on the role of immunity in overall health and well-being and to provide practical strategies for strengthening the immune system through lifestyle changes, nutrition, exercise, and mental health practices. The Session begin with welcome note by Prof. Tania Gupta, Dean, School of Education and was followed by the discussion on need of immunity boosting and life skills, characteristics of healthy lifestyle, discussed case study on successful personalities.

To commemorate World Environment Day the School of Engineering & Technology in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence – Cloud Computing , Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Gurugram Mahanagar and NSS, organised a large-scale Plantation and Plant Distribution Drive at Government Senior Secondary School, Teekli, Gurugram and Mahendrawara. The initiative was aimed at spreading awareness about environmental conservation, promoting green practices, and encouraging active participation from school children and the local rural community.
