Prof. Varuna Tyagi

MBA and PhD in Psychology

Dean of Academics: Prof. Varuna Tyagi, MBA and PhD in Psychology with more than 22 years of teaching, academic administration, and training experience. A visionary in Organisation Behaviour, spearheads University academic strategies with a focus on inclusivity and global relevance. She is highly skilled and accomplished training professional with extensive knowledge of design, development, delivery, and evaluation of wide range of training activities. She plays a multifaceted role that requires a combination of leadership, vision, and a deep commitment to academic excellence. By overseeing curriculum development, managing faculty, and engaging with the broader community.

Prof. Dilraj Preet Kaur

Ph.D. in Physics

Associate Dean of Academics: Prof. Dilraj Preet Kaur is a dynamic and visionary leader committed to fostering academic excellence, innovation, and student success. She holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. With a distinguished career in academia, she brings expertise in Materials Science, steering curriculum advancements and NEP implementation. As Associate Dean, Academics and NEP coordinator, she brings a wealth of experience to the role, driving strategic initiatives that elevate the academic experience for students and faculty alike.

Aligning with National Education Policy (NEP – 2020)

At KRMU, we recognize the importance of aligning our academic approach with the National Education Policy (NEP) to provide an education that is both contemporary
and comprehensive.

Holistic and Multidisciplinary Education: Following NEP’s guidelines, we have reshaped our curriculum to be more curriculum to be more holistic and multidisciplinary, encouraging a breadth of knowledge across varied subjects
Emphasis on Critical Thinking and Creativity: We have adopted our teaching methods to foster critical thinking and creativity, moving away from traditional rote learning techniques in favour of more interactive and discussion-based learning.
Comprehensive Assessment Strategies: Our assessment methods are being refined to align with NEP’s recommendations for continuous and holistic evaluation, focusing on the overall development of students.
Technology Integration: In line with NEP’s focus on technology, we are expanding the use of digital tools in teaching and learning, including AI-based platforms and extensive digital libraries..
Promotion of Indian Languages and Culture: Echoing NEP’s emphasis on cultural heritage, we are introducing new courses that highlight India’s linguistic diversity and cultural richness, enriching our students’ educational journey
