K.R. Mangalam University successfully hosted Aarambh 2025 – Freshman Orientation Programme, marking the beginning of an exciting academic journey for its newest batch of students. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of thousands of freshers, proud parents, faculty, and the entire KRMU community, making it a memorable and impactful start to the new academic year. The highlight of the programme was the presence of Mr. Aman Gupta, CMO & Co-Founder of boAt, a trailblazer in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. His inspiring keynote addressed themes of perseverance, creativity, and innovation. With anecdotes from his own journey of building one of India’s leading consumer electronics brands, he motivated students to think fearlessly, nurture ideas, and contribute to shaping the future. The Aarambh 2025 Orientation Programme set a strong foundation for the new academic year by instilling motivation, excitement, and a sense of belonging among students.

We are delighted to share that ADDA@SOAD session was a great success. The seminar featured an inspiring talk by Mr. Saurabh Srivastava, who shared his journey from working in solar energy to embracing sustainable living and organic farming. He also spoke about KaSa, his cob house project in Gurgaon, constructed using natural materials like mud, stone, clay, straw, lime, and wood a true testament to vernacular and eco-friendly building practices. The session offered valuable insights to students, motivating them to think beyond conventional construction methods and explore sustainable, community-driven approaches in design and architecture.

School of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences organised its first Alumni interaction: “Bridging the Generations”. The aim of the event was to bring back our proud Alumni Dr. Aanchal Sharma (PT) to her Alma-Mater, so, that she can share her real-life experiences with the BPT students, further strengthening the bond between alumni and the University. Dr. Aanchal Sharma (PT) is currently working as Physiotherapist and International Consultant in Vaidam, a start-up which focuses on medical tourism. The session commenced with a welcome note by the School Coordinator who emphasised the importance of alumni in shaping the legacy of the university. She was overwhelmed to see how well the students of the 1st batch of Physiotherapy are doing in their careers. The gathering enthusiastically participated seeking input and guidance. Dr. Aanchal Sharma expressed heartfelt gratitude towards her mentors and cherished memories of their time at the university.

The School of Education organised an enriching alumni talk on the topic “Educational Content Creation Tools for Teachers”. The resource person for the session was Ms. Priya Garg, TGT Science Teacher, D.A.V. Police Public School, Nuh, Haryana, and a proud Alumna of the School of Education. In her interactive session, Ms. Garg introduced and demonstrated various digital tools that can support teachers in creating engaging educational content. She discussed the use of Napkin, a collaborative visual tool; online educational games to enhance student participation; and the Bright Class educational app, which offers multiple features to make teaching more effective and interactive. Her talk emphasised the role of educational technology in transforming traditional classrooms into dynamic learning environments.The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Prof. (Dr.) P.C. Jena, who appreciated the speaker’s valuable insights and acknowledged the contributions of the organizing team. The talk was well-received by students and faculty alike, making it a memorable and informative event that highlighted the importance of digital innovation in education.

School of Managment and Commerce organized an Alumni Talk Session on “Career Advancement on opportunities”. Mr. Karan Khurana CEO, global Peripheral Solutions, Alumnus, KRMU was invited as the guest speaker for the session who provided invaluable insights into his career journey . The main aim was to provide students a platform for networking, mentorship and guidance that emphasized the importance of alumni connections in one’s professional journey. He motivated students to pay attention in the classes and work hard.

The School of Humanities organised an enriching academic visit to the Qutub Complex, Mehrauli. This immersive experience allowed students to explore India’s rich cultural and architectural heritage at this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The visit provided insights into Indo-Islamic architecture, historical narratives, and cultural preservation. Key highlights included: understanding the fusion of Indian and Persian architectural style, analyzing inscriptions and historical structures firsthand and engaging in discussions on cultural conservation efforts. Through this experiential learning initiative, students gained a deeper appreciation for India’s heritage and its lasting impact on historical scholarship.

Students Welfare, K.R. Mangalam University acknowledged the invaluable contributions of its student coordinators in the functioning of its 13 clubs and societies. During the ceremony, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Raghuvir Singh presented certificates of appreciation to the student coordinators of all the clubs and societies and recognised their hard work. He applauded the students for their exceptional dedication and leadership. Dr. Anjana Singh, Dean-Students Welfare, and Dr. Anshul Saluja, Assistant Dean-Students Welfare congratulated the students for this recognition and highlighted the University’s commitment to fostering student involvement and leadership in co-curricular activities. They expressed their gratitude and encouraged continued enthusiasm and participation in all future endeavours.

Students visited “Recycle to Recreate” art exhibition which investigates how recycling in art can have a transformative effect. The exhibition showcased how artists transform waste materials innovative artwork, emphasising the principles of sustainability and creativity. The primary purpose of the exhibition was to stimulate visitors to reconsider waste and recognise the capacity for aesthetic value in ordinary objects.

KRMU International Relations participated in an Australian Higher Education Workshop by University of New South Wales (UNSW), at Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi. The UNSW Workshop provided academic exposure to the students through interaction with the professors of UNSW.
Students engaged with the participants, offering guidance and answering queries about Higher Education opportunities in Australia. The workshop saw positive outcomes as the attendees had an enhanced sense of awareness regarding Australian higher education, along with increased motivation.
The biggest plus point was that the KRMU students got to interact with professors of a Foreign University which made them feel more confident and broadened their academic perspectives.

Students of the School of Engineering and Technology visited CSIR-NPL where they witnessed firsthand demonstrations by the scientists, highlighting the conductive properties of e-textiles. The visit then transitioned into hands-on activities, providing participants with practical insights into the technology. A stimulating QA session followed, offering a platform for insightful discussions including internship opportunities and research collaborations.

Students of School of Humanities visited the People’s Republic of China to participate in diverse cultural programs and educational visits. They excelled in language workshops and cultural activities, enhancing their Chinese skills and knowledge, resulting in excellent networking opportunities. This experience significantly expanded their cultural understanding and more.

Students from the School of Architecture and Design visited Somany Ceramic Factory in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, to gain practical insights into tile production. Led by industry experts, they learned about the manufacturing process, design considerations, materials used, and explored various tile sizes and costing. This hands-on experience bridged the gap between theory and practice, enriching their understanding of architecture and design.

School of Humanities organised an impactful awareness campaign to commemorate Suicide Prevention Week, under the theme “Changing the Narratives about Suicide.” Students from the Psychology Programme actively participated in various activities aimed at raising awareness and promoting suicide prevention. These activities included poster-making, article writing, poetry writing, a nukkad natak (street play), and a group song. The students’ creative talents were showcased through these mediums, effectively conveying messages of hope, resilience, and the importance of seeking help. Additionally, a campus-wide awareness rally was held, where students took to the grounds to spread messages of strength, solidarity, and support.

School of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences (SPRS) organised an awareness camp on Breast Cancer at a Gurudwara, Sohna village to create awareness regarding the treatment of breast cancer amongst rural females. The camp saw varied breast cancer patients of all age groups. Women were made aware of the general signs and symptoms of breast cancer and whom to seek for help in this condition. This camp created awareness among our nearby villages about breast cancer screening offered at the OPD of K. R. Mangalam University. They were eager to come and avail the services with the camp ending on a successful note.

School of Legal Studies in collaboration with NSS, organised a visit to Aganwari, Berka for an Awareness camp on Menstrual Health and Hygiene. The informative sessions aimed to dispel myths, promote proper hygiene practices, and foster an open dialogue surrounding menstruation. The interactive nature of the sessions encouraged community engagement, ensuring that women, young girls, and even men actively participated in discussions to share their experiences and ask questions.

School of legal studies organised an extension activity titled “Awareness drive on reducing inequality and advancing women rights” in collaboration with DLSA. Students visited Sheetla mata mandir, DLSA Camp where they had spread awareness together with Advocate Sunil Sharma (Resource Person, DLSA) amongst the women regarding their Rights given by law.

We are delighted to share the successful completion of Build and Beyond, a flagship initiative of the Tech Nexus Club under the aegis of Student Welfare. This multi-domain technical event provided an innovative platform where creativity met application, spanning four critical domains like Data Science, Full Stack Development, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and Cybersecurity while also offering an Open Innovation track to encourage ideas beyond predefined boundaries. With nearly 120 enthusiastic participants, the event featured the release of real-world problem statements, insightful sessions on hackathons, research paper structures, and emerging technologies, along with an introduction to the Tech Nexus Club itself. The initiative not only engaged students in hands-on problem-solving but also inspired them to think beyond classrooms, nurturing industry-aligned skills and setting the tone for impactful solutions that merge creativity with real-world application.
In addition, the guest lecture addressed nearly 300 students, offering valuable global perspectives, academic knowledge, and practical insights that enriched their learning experience.

K.R. Mangalam Entrepreneurship and Incubation Centre (KEIC Foundation) and the School of Engineering & Technology (SOET) organised Campus Quest – Season 2, powered by Omen Valorant. The event saw an impressive turnout, with over 100 students actively participating in this ultimate esports showdown. Participants showcased their gaming skills in three exciting competitions: Valorant, Tekken, and Asphalt 9. The event featured intense gaming sessions on high-performance OMEN laptops, delivering a premium gaming experience. Competitions were held in a solo format, challenging participants to demonstrate their expertise in tactical combat, fighting, and racing.

This event was packed with thrilling gaming competitions, providing students with an unparalleled gaming experience and a fun-filled atmosphere. The highlight of the event saw participants competing in popular games such as Asphalt 9 and Valorant. Akash Sharma (BCA – AI & DS, 1st year) emerged victorious in Asphalt 9, Kuldeep Yadav (D.Pharm, 2nd year) dominated the Valorant tournament and Ankur Debnath (B.Com Program, 1st year) displayed remarkable skills and made his mark in the gaming competitions.

The School of Emerging Media and Creator Economy successfully conducted a Capacity Development Programme on the theme “Visual Moves – Animation and Motion Graphics in Modern Storytelling.” The event aimed at enhancing students’ skills while making them aware of the latest technological trends in digital storytelling. The session highlighted how animation and motion graphics are reshaping modern media narratives, offering creative ways to engage audiences. Students explored practical aspects of animation workflows, motion graphics applications, and their increasing relevance in the media and creative industries.
The resource person, Mr. Trilok Singh, CEO of Post A2Z social media shared his expertise on areas such as web development, server configuration, live server software installation, animation processes, and motion graphics trends. His insights inspired students to think innovatively about integrating technology into storytelling.

The female students of the School of Legal studies attended a Capacity Development Programme on Rise & Lead: Young Women Pioneering Technology, Buisness and Public Life organised by National Commission for Women in collaboration with NorthCap University. School of Journalism and Mass Communication at K R Mangalam University organised a special session on “Career Counselling ( Higher Education Abroad & Scope of Internship- International). The guest expert was Mr. Kaushal Seth, renowned senior counsellor and career guide. During the session, Mr. Kaushal Seth shed light on the opportunities for students who are planning to study abroad for higher education or want to settle down permanently. He highlighted the potential for financial incentives through academic excellence when pursuing education in various countries. He further enriched the discussion on career counseling, providing students with insights into international education. This session turned out to be very fruitful as many students had queries about scholarship opportunities and shaping their career path through higher education.

School of Hotel Management and Catering Technology conducted a career counseling session on futuristic international job opportunities. Mr Rahul Chaudhary, who is sole proprietor of Premiere Hospitality Placement was the key resource person for this event. Career advancement in the hospitality industry is challenging for many. Mr Rahul guided students about career ladder advancement in many departments such as housekeeping, front desk, and food services. He also guided students about various international job opportunities in Guest Relations, Catering business, Food and beverage, Tourism, Event Planning, Entertainment and Leisure etc.Students showed their curiosity and asked many doubts regarding their future opportunities and the requirements for the same. it was an refreshing and helpful session for students.

The School of Management and Commerce, in collaboration with IIDE – The Digital School, successfully organised a Case Study Competition The event offered students an excellent platform to apply their analytical and strategic thinking to real-world business challenges. Participants showcased creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills through innovative solutions that reflected a strong grasp of marketing strategies and consumer insights. The session was graced by Mr. Sunit Xalxo, Digital Marketing Educator and Strategist at IIDE, who shared valuable insights on digital trends and the importance of data-driven decision-making. The competition concluded with the announcement of the winning teams, who were awarded certificates and prizes for their outstanding performance. This collaborative initiative between K.R. Mangalam University and IIDE fostered experiential learning and strengthened the industry-academia partnership, preparing students for the evolving digital business world.

School of Basic and Applied Sciences conducted a visit in Ghamroj Village, for the “Case Study on Drug Addiction Through Survey and Deaddiction Campaign.” The initiative involved surveying nearby villages to understand the prevalence of drug addiction, followed by a comprehensive deaddiction campaign. This effort reflects the school’s dedication to addressing critical societal issues and contributing to the well-being of the local community.

NSS conducted a cleanliness drive at Government Senior Secondary School, Ghanghola, as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign. This initiative aimed to promote cleanliness and hygiene in the local community, reinforcing the importance of a clean environment. During the drive, volunteers collected waste, swept the grounds, and cleared debris, enhancing the school’s environment. Participants expressed heightened awareness about environmental issues, and the school premises were visibly cleaner and more welcoming. The cleanliness drive under the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign proved to be a fruitful initiative, instilling the values of cleanliness and environmental stewardship among the youth.

School of Legal Studies, K.R. Mangalam University organized an inter-university client counseling competition. The objectives of the client counseling competition were to evaluate the techniques of counseling skills of law students that they have to take into account legal and social perspectives, judicial and nonjudicial perspectives to any cases. The second objective was to test the communication skills of the participants. The competition was graced by guest of honour Mr. Rajender Hooda who is naib-tehsildar of elections of Mewat district. Mr. Rajender has 25 years of taking care of elections in Gurgaon, Mewat and Rohtak districts.

As a part of the initiative “Nyaya Bandhu,” the university is committed to fostering a culture of pro bono legal services among the youth of India. School of Medical and Allied Sciences organized a technical session “CONCOCTION “Intellectual Property Rights: Safeguarding Ideas & Empowering Innovators “in collaboration with KEIC, K R Mangalam University.The primary focus of this event was to educate participants on the significance of safeguarding their intellectual creations, be it medical innovations, research findings, or allied scientific discoveries. The keynote speakers for the event were Mr. Vaibhav vivek and Mr. Divyanshu Mishra, Assistant Controller of Patents & Designs (from NIPAM). With their extensive knowledge and experience, they guided attendees through the intricacies of IPR, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. They also provided practical insights into how individuals and organizations in the school of medical and allied sciences can navigate the complex landscape of intellectual property rights.
Student Welfare provides ample scope, opportunities, and facilities for the students’ all-around development of personality and leadership qualities.
